Ethical Sports Takes

Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season is officially in the books, and Ethical Sports Takes finishes with an 8–5 record and one mulligan.

It wasn’t our strongest week, but we still managed to finish above .500 despite several surprising results across the league.

Carolina delivered one of our boldest predictions with an upset victory over Philadelphia, while New Orleans bounced back in impressive fashion against the Giants.

Unfortunately, the Rams, Colts, Ravens, and Seahawks all let us down.

We are also applying one mulligan to our Atlanta Falcons prediction. That pick was made before we knew Caleb Williams would be healthy and available for Chicago, a significant factor that would have changed our evaluation of the matchup.

Let’s review how our predictions performed.

Week 6 Predictions and Results

Seattle Seahawks vs. Denver Broncos

• Our Pick: Seattle Seahawks
• Final Score: Broncos 17, Seahawks 14 (OT)
• Result: ❌ Incorrect

Seattle continues to disappoint. We expected the Seahawks to bounce back, but another poor offensive performance and costly turnovers resulted in their third defeat in four games.

Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

• Our Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars
• Final Score: Texans 34, Jaguars 31
• Result: ❌ Incorrect

Jacksonville’s defense couldn’t get the job done. C.J. Stroud delivered an excellent performance, and Houston escaped London with a much-needed victory.

Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts

• Our Pick: Indianapolis Colts
• Final Score: Titans 26, Colts 20
• Result: ❌ Incorrect

After watching Tennessee score just three points against Houston in Week 5, we expected Indianapolis to handle business. Instead, the Titans pulled off an unexpected victory.

Carolina Panthers vs. Philadelphia Eagles

• Our Pick: Carolina Panthers
• Final Score: Panthers 25, Eagles 14
• Result: ✅ Correct

One of our favorite predictions of the week! We backed Carolina to upset Philadelphia, and Bryce Young delivered. The Eagles continue to struggle, while the Panthers are proving they’re no longer an easy opponent.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• Our Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers
• Final Score: Steelers 26, Buccaneers 19
• Result: ✅ Correct

Pittsburgh took care of business. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers did enough to secure the victory, rewarding our confidence in them.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns

• Our Pick: Baltimore Ravens
• Final Score: Browns 13, Ravens 10
• Result: ❌ Incorrect

Baltimore’s offense was dreadful. Scoring just 10 points against Cleveland is unacceptable, and the Ravens continue to look nothing like a legitimate championship contender.

New Orleans Saints vs. New York Giants

• Our Pick: New Orleans Saints
• Final Score: Saints 34, Giants 27
• Result: ✅ Correct

New Orleans delivered an incredible response after falling behind 10–0. The Saints scored 34 unanswered points, with Tyler Shough accounting for four touchdowns. An excellent bounce-back victory.

Chicago Bears vs. Atlanta Falcons

• Our Pick: Atlanta Falcons
• Final Score: Bears 31, Falcons 23
• Result: ⚪ Mulligan — Excluded

We’re applying a mulligan to this prediction.

When we originally selected Atlanta, we weren’t aware that Caleb Williams would be healthy and available for Chicago.

That’s an enormous difference. The Bears are a completely different football team with Williams under center, and his presence significantly changes how we evaluate this matchup.

Because the prediction was made without that important information, we’re excluding it from our official record.

New York Jets vs. New England Patriots

• Our Pick: New England Patriots
• Final Score: Patriots 26, Jets 19
• Result: ✅ Correct

Drake Maye continues to impress, throwing three touchdowns as New England secured another victory. The Patriots are building some serious momentum.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams

• Our Pick: Los Angeles Rams
• Final Score: Cardinals 18, Rams 16
• Result: ❌ Incorrect

One of our most disappointing misses. The Rams were supposed to bounce back after their overtime defeat against Buffalo, but instead suffered another frustrating loss. Los Angeles needs to figure things out quickly.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs

• Our Pick: Kansas City Chiefs
• Final Score: Chiefs 22, Chargers 6
• Result: ✅ Correct

Kansas City dominated. Kenneth Walker III continued his excellent season, while the Chiefs’ defense held the Chargers to just six points. This was never really in doubt.

Buffalo Bills vs. Las Vegas Raiders

• Our Pick: Buffalo Bills
• Final Score: Bills 33, Raiders 30
• Result: ✅ Correct

Buffalo made things far more difficult than necessary, but Josh Allen and company escaped with the victory. A win is a win, even if the defense continues to raise concerns.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers

• Our Pick: Green Bay Packers
• Final Score: Packers 23, Cowboys 13
• Result: ✅ Correct

Green Bay secured its third consecutive victory, holding Dallas to just 13 points. The Packers are heading in the right direction, and we correctly backed them to continue their winning streak.

Washington Commanders vs. San Francisco 49ers

• Our Pick: San Francisco 49ers
• Final Score: 49ers 23, Commanders 17
• Result: ✅ Correct

San Francisco got the victory, although its second-half performance was far from impressive. Conservative play-calling and unnecessary penalties nearly cost the 49ers, but they did enough to secure the win.

Final Thoughts

Week 6 delivered another winning record for Ethical Sports Takes.

Our Carolina upset prediction was particularly satisfying, while New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Buffalo, Green Bay, New England, and San Francisco all delivered victories.

Unfortunately, unexpected defeats by the Rams and Colts, combined with disappointing performances from Baltimore, Jacksonville, and Seattle, prevented an even stronger finish.

We also applied one mulligan to the Chicago–Atlanta matchup due to Caleb Williams’ availability not being known when the original prediction was made.

Eight correct predictions, five incorrect, and one mulligan.
